This year's Oscar awarding ceremony was the "catwalk" for all the great designers. The red carpet hosted true clothing masterpieces. I chose some outfits that made the headlines, and embellished their owners in the greatest possible way.

This year's gowns were amazing. Every single one of them was exquisite and sophisticated, but I have my favorites and I'm sure you have yours!

My Top 3 favorites:

3rd place goes to Gwyneth Paltrow's white gown designed by Tom Ford.- I think this outfit compliments her flawless figure.

2nd place goes to Jessica Chastain's impressive dress, signed Alexander McQueen-I like the "golden" details, because it goes amazing with black.
The winner is: the beautiful and delicate Giambattista Valli creation, worn by Emma Stone.  I love the big sized bow and the color goes perfectly with her skin tone and hair color.

Before my outfit posts, I've decided to create a collage of my favorites styles. For this, I chose photos of celebrities with all sorts of fashion tastes, that caught my eye.

Inspiration vs. Impersonation

Throughout the years, many of the celebs chose all sorts of role models. Many of them managed to build their own image by promoting trends that have already been established by their forerunners.  Choosing a role model, an inspirational icon is completely different than choosing someone to impersonate. I managed to put together a post based on “immortal trends”, that haunt our celebrities.

Today's post is all about pictures, that reveal the trends that will never die and the icons that managed to write history! I will not comment or call people copycats, I only want to underline the fact that we let ourselves be inspired by people who managed to make themselves noticed.

De-a lungul aniilor, o mare parte dintre celebritati si-au ales modele, persoane care ii inspirau din punct de vedere vestimentar, in majoritatea cazurilor. De asemenea au fost multi cei care si-au construit o imagine bazata pe un stil deja existent si bine conturat, de predecesorii lor. Alegerea unui model este complet diferita de intruchiparea, imitarea sa. Am conturat acest post cu ajutorul “trendurilor nemuritoare” care tind sa ne “bantuie” vedetele chiar si in ziua de azi, insa nu numai.Postul de astazi este creat pe un set de imagini menite sa expuna trenduri nemuritoare si vedete ce au reusit sa se "eternizeze" prin look-ul lor. Acest post nu este menit sa expuna imitatii, ci sa sublinieze faptul ca toti tindem sa ne lasam inspirati si influentati de persoane ce au reusit sa faca din aparitiile lor momente de neuitat, evident din punct de vedere vestimentar.

Luna Sky! AW2012

Hello dears, I was anxious about writing this post all day long and now that I finally reached to my computer I would like to share with you some beautiful and exquisite designs from the London Fashion Week. Luna Sky presented her brand new AW12 collection on 17th. Her motto is "La vita e bella", which means "Life is Beautiful". This collection is all about "magnificent carpet pieces and extravagant eveningwear" (press release).
Her collection is inspired by the cultural influences of the Venice Carnival. These exquisite gowns have delicate, yet extravagant features, such as Swarovski crystals, sequins, feathers and applique.
Luna Sky juggles with shapes and patterns and "pushes the boundaries of fashion" in order to create fresh, eye-catching designs. The color palette is kept minimal, using classic black and white. B&W never fails, right?
She enriches her collection by adding shades of blue to her minimal palette. This collection reveals every girl's dream of becoming a princess. Live to the dream, xoxo

Toata ziua am fost nerabdatoare sa scriu acest post, si in final am ajuns in fata calculatorului! O noua colectie, marca Luna Sky,  London Fashion Week mi-a atras atentia, si anume, colectia AW12 prezentata in 17 februarie. Motto-ul ei este "La vita e bella" si anume "Viata e frumoasa". Colectia respectiva este dominata de aparitii pentru covorul rosu si rochii de seara extravagante.
De asemenea ceea ce a inspirat-o in crearea acestor tinute este carnavalul Vienez si influentele sale culturale. Rochiile semnate Luna Sky sunt o combinatie reusita intre detaliile extravagante si cele delicate- cristale Swarovski, paiete, pene si alte aplicatii.
Jongland cu croiuri si modele, Luna Sky reuseste sa creeze design-uri fresh si captivante. Chiar daca paleta de culori este mentinuta in tonuri clasice de negru si alb (combinatia ce nu da gres niciodata!), rochiile sunt deosebite. Pe langa nuantele clasice, in aceasta colectie, creatoarea adauga cateva nuante subtile de albastru pentru a da tinutelor sale un aer nou. Acesta colectie ne ajuta sa traim visele de a deveni printese.
